A Magic Move transition creates the effect of objects moving from their positions on one slide to new positions on the next slide when you play your presentation.
The easiest way to create a Magic Move transition is to create a slide and add objects to it, then duplicate the slide and rearrange, resize, or reorient the objects on the duplicated slide. Any objects appearing on both slides become part of the transition. Any objects appearing on the first slide, but not the following slide, fade out. Any objects appearing on the following slide, but not the original slide, fade in.
Tap the slide you want to add a Magic Move transition to, tap the slide again, then tap Transition.
Tap Magic Move.
Tap Yes when you’re asked to duplicate the slide, if you haven’t already duplicated it. If you have, tap No.
If you tap Yes, the duplicated slide appears in the slide navigator below the original.
Change the position or appearance of the objects on the original slide or its duplicate, because the Magic Move transition is most effective when both slides include at least one common object whose position or appearance has been altered.
For example, you can drag objects to new locations on the slide, rotate or resize them, or change their opacity. You can also add or delete objects on either slide.
Tap the original slide in the slide navigator, then tap Magic Move.
Tap Options below the list, then set the duration for the transition, whether to start the transition automatically or when you tap, and other settings.
Tap Delivery and Acceleration, then you can match objects or text as follows:
By Object: Moves an object on the first slide into a similar object on the second slide.
By Word: Moves one or more words on the first slide to a new position on the second slide. You can give the effect of words repositioning themselves to form new phrases or sentences.
By Character: Moves characters on the first slide to a new position on the second slide. You can give the effect of letters repositioning themselves to form new words.
Tap Done in the toolbar.
When you’re editing animations, star icons appear on objects that are part of a Magic Move transition. Gray stars correspond with objects on the next slide, and yellow stars correspond with objects on the previous slide.
