Home button

The Home button takes you to the Home screen, where you can tap an app to open it. The Home button also provides other convenient shortcuts.

Unlock iPod touch. Press the Home button, then enter the passcode if required.

Set a passcode. For additional security, you can require a passcode to unlock iPod touch. If you didn’t create a passcode during setup, go to Settings > Passcode. See Use a passcode with data protection.

Go to the Home screen. Press the Home button.

See apps you’ve opened. Double-click the Home button when iPod touch is unlocked to see the app switcher, then swipe left or right. See Switch between apps.

Use Siri or Voice Control. Press and hold the Home button. See Make requests and Voice Control.
