Save and rename documents

Pages automatically saves your document as you work and gives it a default name. At any time, you can rename the document or create a duplicate of it with a different name.

Rename a document

  1. In the document manager, tap the document name and delete it.

To quickly delete the current name, tap the “x” in the text field.

  2. Type a new name, then tap Done.

Duplicate a document

  1. In the document manager, tap Edit.

  2. When the documents begin to jiggle, tap the ones you want to duplicate.

To deselect a document, tap it again.

  3. Tap Duplicate button, then if you tapped more than one document, tap Duplicate Documents.

The duplicate documents appear with the word copy appended to their names.

To cancel, tap anywhere in the document manager background, then tap Done.
