You can set a preference in Numbers to optimize images and movies for viewing on iOS devices. This setting ensures that large images look clear on iOS devices, even after scaling, and it converts movies in your spreadsheets to H.264 (720p), so they play well on iOS devices.
Choose Numbers > Preferences (from the Numbers menu at the top of your screen).
Click General at the top of the preferences window, then select the checkbox next to “Optimize movies and images for iOS.”
If your spreadsheet uses image, audio, or video files, you can reduce the Numbers file size by downsampling image resolution to Retina quality and deleting unused (trimmed) portions of movies and audio.
Choose File > Advanced > Reduce File Size (from the File menu at the top of your screen).
