You can set up iPhoto to fit your work style.

Sources: Show last __ months album | Select to show an item (“Last 12 Months,” for example) below Recent in the Source list. (In full-screen view, click the Albums button to see the “Last 12 months” album.) To set the months, click the arrows or type a number between 1 and 18. |
Sources: Show item counts | Select to show the number of photos next to each item in your Source list. |
Rotate | Select whether to rotate photos clockwise or counterclockwise when you click the Rotate button (one of the editing tools). |
Connecting camera opens | Choose the application that opens when you connect your camera to your computer. |
Autosplit into Events | When you import photos into iPhoto, photos are organized by event, depending on when they were taken. Choose an option from the pop-up menu to change the time frame that constitutes an event. |
Email photos using | Choose the application that iPhoto uses when you choose Share > Email. |
