You can publish your photos and video clips directly from iPhoto to your Facebook account, so that your Facebook friends can view and tag them. After you publish photos or video clips from iPhoto to Facebook, you can add comments to and manage the published items using iPhoto or Facebook, and sync your changes.
Select the photos or video clips you want to publish.
In the toolbar, click the Share button, and then click Facebook.
If iPhoto asks you to log in to your Facebook account, type your account email address and password, select the “I agree with Facebook’s terms” checkbox, and then click Login.
After you’ve logged in to your Facebook account, do one of the following:
Choose the album you want to add your photos and video clips to.
Choose New Album to create a new photo album for your selected items in your Facebook account online. Type an album name, choose an option from the “Photos Viewable by” pop-up menu, then click Publish.
Click Timeline to publish a single photo or video clip to your timeline. Choose an option from the “Photos Viewable by” pop-up menu, then click Publish.
Click Profile Picture to change your profile picture to the one that you’re publishing.
To view your published album, click your Facebook account in the Source list (below iCloud), and then double-click the album. When you visit Facebook, you can use this album in the same way you use any other Facebook album.
You can check whether you already published a photo or video clip to Facebook. Select the item, click the Info button in the toolbar, and look in the Sharing section. (If you don’t see a Sharing section, you haven’t shared the item.)
In the Source list, click your Facebook account, and then double-click the published album.
If you’re in full-screen view, click Albums in the toolbar, and then scroll down to the Facebook section.
Click the arrow next to the album’s name at the top of the window.

Tip: If you click any item in your library, the Info pane indicates where the item has been published (below Sharing).
Select the photos you want to add to the published album.
Click the Share button in the toolbar, click Facebook, and then choose the album you want to add the photos to.
Select the item you want to add to your Timeline.
Click the Share button in the toolbar, click Facebook, and then click Timeline. Choose an option from the “Photos Viewable by” pop-up menu, then click Publish.
Choose an option from the “Photos Viewable by” pop-up menu, then click Publish.
You can add comments to photos you share with your Facebook account from within iPhoto. You can also view the comments your friends add to your shared photos in the Comments section of the Info pane.
In the Source list, click the Facebook account, and then double-click the Facebook album whose photos you want to comment on or view comments for.
Select a photo.
In the toolbar, click the Info button.
In the Info pane, do one of the following:
To add a comment to a photo: Click the “Add a comment” button at the bottom of the Comments section, type your comment, and press Return.
The comment is added to the photo in iPhoto and Facebook. Comments that your friends have added to the photo in Facebook also appear in the Comments section.
To delete a comment from a photo: In the Comments section of the Info pane, move the pointer above the comment, and then click the Delete button that appears in the top-right portion of the comment.
In the Source list, click your Facebook account.
If you’re in full-screen view, click Albums in the toolbar, and then scroll down to the Facebook section.
Select the album whose settings you want to change.
In the toolbar, click the Info button and make your changes
In the Source list, click your Facebook account.
If you’re in full-screen view, click Albums in the toolbar, and then scroll down to the Facebook section.
Do one of the following:
To delete the entire album, select it and then press Command-Delete.
If you published this album from iPhoto, the album no longer appears on Facebook, but the photos remain in your photo library.
If you created the album on Facebook and then synced the album with iPhoto, you can import the photos before the album is deleted. (If you don’t import the photos into iPhoto, they won’t appear in your library.)
To delete specific photos, open the album, select the photos, and then press the Delete key.
Important: If you delete photos and albums from iPhoto, they’re deleted from your Facebook page, along with any posted comments. You can’t undo this action. To delete photos and albums from iPhoto without deleting them from Facebook, first remove the Facebook account from iPhoto. Choose iPhoto > Preferences, and then click Accounts. Click to select the Facebook account (below the Accounts subhead on the left), and then click the Delete button (–) in the lower-left corner of the Accounts pane.
In iPhoto, select the photo you want to use as your Facebook profile picture.
In the toolbar, click the Share button, and then click Facebook.
Click Profile Picture.
This option appears only if a single photo is selected.
In the iPhoto Source list, click your Facebook account, and then open the album you want to sync.
