Show or hide a photo’s file information

iPhoto stores file information about each photo in your library, including its title, description, ratings, and keywords, as well as Exchangeable Image File (EXIF) information.

EXIF information includes the photo’s image size, the date and time it was taken, and the type of camera used, as well as important exposure information, such as the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO speed.

Show all information, including EXIF information

Show title and rating information below photos

  1. Click to select Photos in the Source list.

  2. Choose View, and then choose the information you want to view:

    • Titles

    • Rating

    The information field you chose appears below your photos.

To hide this information, choose View, and then choose the information you want to hide.
