In Accounts preferences, enter your Apple ID that identifies you to Apple and allows you to assign a team to your project.
If you are not an individual or not in an organization that is a member of the Apple Developer Program, your Apple ID is assigned to a personal team that you can use to launch apps on devices. However, before you can distribute your app through the App Store, you must join the Apple Developer Program. As a member of the Apple Developer Program, you have full access to developer tools and app services. If you are a member of an organization that belongs to the Apple Developer Program, your program role may restrict what tasks you can perform.
You can add multiple Apple ID accounts and Apple ID accounts can belong to multiple teams.
In the lower-left corner, click the Add button (+).
In the sheet that appears, choose Apple ID, then click Continue.
In the next sheet, enter your Apple ID, click Next, enter your password, then click Next.
If successful, the Apple ID appears in the column on the left and the teams that the Apple ID belong to appear on the right. The table displays the team name and your program role. If you are an individual who doesn’t belong to the Apple Developer Program, your team name is your first and last name appended by “Personal Team” in parentheses—for example, “Mei Chen (Personal Team)”.
On macOS 10.11 and later, if you have two-step verification for your Apple ID enabled, you may need to enter an additional verification code (go to Two-step verification for Apple ID to learn more). On earlier operating systems, you may need to enter an app-specific password (go to Using app-specific passwords for how to generate an app-specific password).
If you don’t have an Apple ID, click “Create Apple ID” in the lower-left corner of the sheet and after you create an Apple ID, repeat these steps.
Select the Apple ID account you want to delete in the left column.
Click the Delete button (–) in the lower-left corner.
