Touch ID is a fingerprint recognition feature available on some Mac computers and iOS devices. If you have Touch ID, you can open your password-protected documents using your fingerprint alone.
To set up Touch ID, do both of the following:
Set up Touch ID for your Mac: Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Touch ID, click “Add a fingerprint,” then follow the onscreen instructions.
Set up Touch ID for Pages: In Pages, choose Pages > Preferences, then turn on Use Touch ID.
To open a document using Touch ID, double-click the document, then place your finger on Touch ID at the right end of the Touch Bar, at the top of the keyboard.
