Delete a spreadsheet

You can delete a spreadsheet to remove it permanently from your iOS device, from your Mac, and from iCloud.

Delete a spreadsheet from your iOS device

Important: If you turned on iCloud for Numbers (in Settings on your iOS device), deleting a spreadsheet from your device deletes it from iCloud and from all other devices and Macs that use your iCloud account.

In the spreadsheet manager, tap Edit.
When the spreadsheets begin to jiggle, tap the spreadsheets you want to delete.
To deselect a selected spreadsheet, tap it again.
Tap , tap Delete Spreadsheet, then tap Delete.
To cancel, tap anywhere in the spreadsheet manager background, or tap Done.

Delete a spreadsheet from your Mac or iCloud

Locate the spreadsheet by doing any of the following:
- Choose File > Open (from the File menu at the top of your screen).
- Click the Spotlight icon (the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of your screen), begin typing the name of the spreadsheet, then Command-click the spreadsheet in the search results. The folder where it’s stored opens so you can select the file.
Drag the spreadsheet from its location to the Trash.
The spreadsheet isn’t deleted from your computer until you empty the Trash.
