Format columns of text

You can format text in a text box or shape into two or more columns of text and graphics.

Change the number of text columns

  1. Tap inside a shape or text box so that you see the insertion point, or select text.

  2. Tap Format button in the toolbar, then tap Layout.

    If you don’t see Layout, make sure you placed the insertion point in the text, instead of selecting the entire shape or text box.

  3. Tap Remove button or Add button next to Column to remove or add columns.

Force text to the top of the next column

  1. Tap where you want the previous column to end.

  2. Tap Insert, then tap Column Break.
