The arpeggiator is shown only in browse or advanced view. Click the Browse or Advanced button to switch to either view, then click the Arp button in the Perform/Arp/Effects section.
The File button opens a pop-up menu with a number of useful arpeggiator pattern management commands.
Arpeggiator file menu items
Preset: Choose from a submenu of preset sequencer patterns.
Save: Save the current sequencer pattern as a new preset.
Copy: Copy the current sequencer pattern to the Clipboard.
Paste: Paste a pattern from the Clipboard to the selected sequencer pattern.
Clear: Reset the selected sequencer pattern to default values.
Randomize: Fill the currently visible pattern with random values.
Import Velocity: Import velocity values from a MIDI file. Velocity values are imported to the Velocity sequence.
Import Note: Import note data from a MIDI file. Note values are imported to the Tune sequence.
Import Groove: Extract timing information from a MIDI file, and import this as timing offsets in the Swing sequence.
Import All: Import note, velocity, and timing information, and set the Pitch, Velocity, and Swing sequence values accordingly.
Import All sets step values in arpeggiator sequencer 1 based on extracted velocity data. Swing values are also imported into arpeggiator sequencer 1 based on extracted groove data. Step levels (pitches) are imported into arpeggiator sequencer 2 based on extracted note data. Arpeggiator sequencer 1 is then routed to the Velocity sequence with a depth of 100%, and arpeggiator sequencer 2 is routed to the Tune sequence with a depth of 24 semitones. The resulting configuration allows the arpeggiator to play back the imported MIDI notes, velocities, and groove timing faithfully.
