Effect modules are shown only in browse or advanced view. Click the Browse or Advanced button to switch to either view, then click the Effect button in the Perform/Arp/Effects section.
Effects in this group are used to control the level or stereo position of the signal.
Amp parameters
Allows for a variety of auto-gate effects when modulated by an LFO or sequencer.
Gain knob: Use a setting of 100% to preserve the input signal level. Lower values reduce this level, all the way to silence at 0%.
Panner parameters
Allows for a variety of auto-pan effects when modulated by an LFO or sequencer.
Pan: Use a setting of 50% to preserve the balance between the left and right input channels. Lower values boost the left while cutting the right; higher values boost the right while cutting the left.
Phat Compressor parameters
Dynamics processor based on a soft-limiting compression algorithm.
Amount knob: Sets the amount of compression. Because make-up gain is built in, larger amounts of compression result in greater apparent loudness.
Release knob: Determines how quickly the compression effect subsides once the input signal falls below the threshold for compression.
Phat button: Adds a saturation effect, for a different compression color. For more neutral/transparent compression, turn Phat off.
Vintage Compressor parameters
Dynamics processor based on analog compression hardware.
File button: Open a pop-up menu with several useful commands.
Presets: Choose a preset from the submenu.
Save: Opens a dialog where you can name and save the current settings to a new preset. The saved preset name is shown at the bottom of the Presets submenu list.
Copy/Paste: Copy the current settings to the Clipboard and paste the Clipboard contents.
Clear: Reset all parameter settings to default values.
Attack knob: Set the time it takes for the compressor to react when the signal exceeds the threshold level.
Release knob: Determines how quickly the compression effect subsides once the input signal falls below the threshold value.
Threshold knob: Set the threshold level. Signals above this threshold value are reduced in level.
Input Gain knob: Set the level of gain applied to the signal at the compressor input.
Ratio knob: Sets the ratio of compression when the signal exceeds the threshold value.
Makeup Gain knob: Set the amount of gain applied to the compression signal at the compressor output.
