Resize, rotate, and flip an object

You can resize any object. You can rotate or flip any object except a table or chart.

Resize an object

An object with selection handles

If you want to always constrain proportions while resizing a selected object, select the “Constrain proportions” checkbox in the Arrange tab of the sidebar.

Rotate an image, shape, text box, line, arrow, or video

  1. Select the object, then click the Arrange tab at the top of the sidebar on the right.

If you don’t see a sidebar, or the sidebar doesn’t have an Arrange tab, click Format button in the toolbar.

  2. Drag the Rotate wheel, or enter a degree value in the adjacent field to specify the angle at which you want to rotate the object.

Tip: You can also press the Command key while your pointer is over a selection handle on the object, then drag to rotate.

Flip an image, shape, text box, line, arrow, or video

  1. Select the object, then click the Arrange tab at the top of the sidebar on the right.

If you don’t see a sidebar, or the sidebar doesn’t have an Arrange tab, click Format button in the toolbar.

  2. Click a Flip button (near the Rotate wheel) to flip the object vertically or horizontally.

Tip: You can add these buttons to the toolbar: Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical.
