Set tab stops

You can use tab stops to align text. When you press Option-Tab on your keyboard, the insertion point and any text to the right of it move to the next tab stop, and text you enter starts at that point.

You can set the alignment of tab stops, change the symbol used for decimal-aligned tab stops, and add a leader line (such as a dotted line) between items separated by tab stops.

Set tab stops on the ruler

  1. Click the paragraph you want to format, or select multiple paragraphs.

  2. On the ruler, click where you want to place a tab stop.

If you don’t see the ruler at the top of the slide, click View button in the toolbar, then choose Show Rulers.
