Open an existing presentation

Keynote can open presentations saved in iCloud, on your Mac, on connected servers, and in third-party storage providers such as DropBox.

You can use Keynote to open and edit Microsoft PowerPoint presentations (.pptx and .ppt), and you can save Keynote presentations in other formats, such as PowerPoint, PDF, Keynote ’09, and more.

Open an existing presentation

If you can’t open a Keynote presentation, make sure that you have the latest version of Keynote from the Mac App Store. If a presentation is dimmed and can’t be selected, it can’t be opened by Keynote.
