In Document Setup view you can add headers and footers, page numbering, or background images that will appear on every page in your document.

Customize page headers and footers:

Page headers and footers allow you to place identical text at the top or bottom of every page.

  1. Tap Tools button in the toolbar, and then tap Document Setup.

  2. Tap the area above the document body to type header text, or tap in the area below the document body to type footer text.

Three cells appear in the header or footer area that you tapped.

  3. Tap a cell, depending on how you want your text aligned:

    • Tap the right cell for right-aligned text.

    • Tap the middle cell for center-aligned text.

    • Tap the left cell for left-aligned text.

You can add text to more than one cell, if you want.

  4. Type your header or footer text.

Your text can overflow into the adjacent cell, if the adjacent cell is empty. If you want the text to wrap to a second line within the cell, tap Return at the point where you want to break the line.

  5. Tap Done in the top-left corner of the screen.

Delete headers or footers:

  1. Tap Tools button in the toolbar, and then tap Document Setup.

  2. Select all the text in the header or footer, and then tap Delete button in the keyboard.

Add page numbers:

  1. Tap Tools button in the toolbar, and then tap Document Setup.

  2. Tap in the header or footer area of the document view, and then tap the left, center, or right header or footer cell, depending on how you want the page numbers aligned. (See above for more information.)

  3. Tap Page Numbers button in the toolbar, and then tap the numbering format you want.

  4. Tap Done in the top-left corner of the screen.

Add a background image (watermark):

Watermarks are identical images that appear on every page of the document, behind the main body text and images. For example, you can place your company logo on every page.

  1. Tap Tools button in the toolbar, and then tap Document Setup.

  2. Tap Insert button in the toolbar, tap Media, and then tap the image you want to use.

  3. Adjust the size and position of the image. For detailed instructions, see Select, group, layer, and copy objects.

  4. If you want to change the image opacity, shadow, reflection, or border style, tap Info button in the toolbar and tap Style, and then make your adjustments. For detailed instructions, see Place and style new images and shapes.

  5. Tap Done in the top-left corner of the screen.
