In addition to your computer’s built-in speakers, you can listen to iTunes audio through any of the following:

Set a maximum volume for speakers

Click the AirPlay button AirPlay icon, a box with an arrowhead pointing up, click Multiple, and do either of the following:

If you can’t choose your remote speakers

If you still can’t choose your remote speakers, or need more information about setting up your AirPort Express, Apple TV, or AirPlay-enabled device, see the documentation that came with it or visit the AirPort Support or AirPort Express websites.

If there’s a problem with an AirPlay device

If the AirPlay button changes to amber Amber-colored AirPlay icon, a box with an arrowhead pointing up, there's a problem with an AirPlay device.

  1. Click Amber-colored AirPlay icon, a box with an arrowhead pointing up to open the AirPlay menu.

  2. Check the icon next to the device.

    • Speaker with lock  or  AirPlay TV icon with a lock: You need to enter a password to connect to the speaker or TV.

    • Exclamation point inside a triangle: The device has an error.

    • Exclamation point inside a triangle with a lock: You’ve selected a device but haven’t entered its password.
