In the Forrest Gump example below, the feature film source will be used to create EST and VOD products for four territories: United States, Brazil, Canada, and France. The copyright c-line and theatrical release date are territory specific. For each territory, title, synopsis, cast, crew, and chapter titles have been localized and ratings have been supplied. Separate poster art files and trailers will be used for BR and FR territories. The worldwide (WW territory) poster art file and trailer will be used in the US and CA territories because territory-specific assets have not been submitted for the United States and Canada. In this example, the worldwide poster art is in the LSR (.lsr) layered image format. A cue sheet has been added to the example; cue sheets are optional, but should be provided if available. For the sake of brevity, only two music works are shown within the cue sheet.
The package also includes both French and Latin American Spanish audio files. Subtitles and forced subtitles for multiple languages are included, as well as SDH in Spanish and English. In this example, English closed captions are not available and English SDH can be used in place of captions. Because one of the products is for the US territory where captioning is required, the metadata must indicate the reason code closed captions are not supplied, which is required for U.S. deliveries. The reason code indicates the SDH are supplied instead.
